Hi everyone, my name is Greg Smith. I was born and raised in Alaska, and not unlike most of us who were, at one point realized just how much I took for granted the pure scenic beauty we get to see every day living in Alaska. But unlike most, I’ve decided to put my new found passion of photography to good use and show everyone just how beautiful Alaska really is if you slow down,  take a step back and just look. As a near life-long resident, Alaska’s beauty is all around me … and I love to share it with you.

A little bit about me, I already told you I was born and raised in Alaska. After high school I went straight to work doing everything from washing dishes, to construction and operating heavy equipment to firefighting and emergency medicine. I began North Slope in 2009. I’ve been here ever since and I love the people I work with. It’s allowed me to travel quite extensively and to foster passions such as my photography.

I love photographing Alaska’s scenic beauty and I don’t think that will ever grow old for me. I would like to expand my photography to some other exotic places such as Cuba, Europe and South America. Additionally, I’d like to combine my other passion which is concerts and music festivals with my photography and get into live event photography.
